We keep hearing how the SHTF senario is coming, and it is looking more likely. Although it's nothing new to part's of the US, the UK news is talking about power outages this winter? So I thought I would posyt a couple of vids about how to cook and how to make a soda can cooker/burner. for a good few years nowe to keep my electricity bill down and seeing as ai live alone I made a few of these and occasionally if money is tight I will cook on them for a day or two. they run on alcohol which is well reasonablt cheap and you can even make your own? this video shows if you have the time and knowhow, (Being MEN it shouldn't be difficult)! lol1 you can at least in a power out have one cooked meal a day> the next video will be "How to make an Alcohol Stove" by the way always use in a well ventilated place rather than in the house, under a garage flip up door or in the carage if well ventilated,. anyway Use this hint to be prepared for any situation where the power isn't there?

I am not putting shit on you for using ISOPROPYLE alcohol - but HERE in Australia that shit is SUPER EXPENSIVE - like a basic technical grade for cleaning electronics is something like $17 (or more now) a litre.

Get the cheap (drinking) alcohol - ethanol ($6 a liter) or the toxic "make you go blind" methanol, and IF you have a friend who likes to distill their own booze or alcohol based solvent / fuel - the best bit for fires is the "umm not sure of the name" but methanol has a lower boiling point than ethanol, so "the first product of the still" is methanol and it's usually thrown out - because it's toxic.

But it is good burning fuel.

IF your friend can run a still with VERY tight temperature control, you can take out the different fractions with very little carry over of the drinking alcohol with the methanol and you can keep the water carry over very low as well.
