When my PC blew up the other week i went on ebay and bought another one for £69.99 with Win 11 and a far better package and memory than this one I'm typing on right now, but this one has hardly been used I bought it as a back up for the one that blew up. so now it's getting some use. but the win 11 one is great (registered genuine copy as well with warrantee), free delivery. Windows security also has an antivirus and ad and malware blocker on it as well and VLC and a few toy's. I mean the one that blew up has lasted nearly 9 years and only cost £35 in the day, refurb Business PC. I don't Game, or go on dofgy sites and stuff so it suites me fine. Got a box of memory chipsets as well somewhere, but I cant find a replacement power unit and fan anywhere.

Good thing you know how to repair it yourself. Can you imagine how much a shop would have charged? Arm and a leg comes to mind.

@SoloMan Zone: planned obsolescence l think influenced by government incentives the longevity of products isn’t the goal….buy buy…generate revenue for the state and it’s elites…
