The 'west' no, "the controlled US government" politicians don't get TV spots unless they're owned or own the media; and even then... without enough dirt/control/blackmail no one gets into office; uncontrolled "officials" are dangerous and far easier to keep outside than to run damage control and clean up after.

The only way for true world peace... would be after the last whimper, when the last of man surrenders not to god, but to death... I do not want 'peace' I want continuous competition and growth, not violence against other people, violence against the limitations that lead us to believe we must use violence, one against another...
That's why I'm an idealist... the practical approach would be step out of the way and let nature, god, karma, and every group they've pissed off to 'help' them write their final chapter...mouse utopia is reaching it's end... entertainment will distract; and could 'inspire' a new outcome.. or I'll find out I'm wrong and everyone gets to live happily ever after?
