I'd understand if she went maybe 5yrs, but 17yrs, with a kid? What happened? Sounds like she tried to change him (maybe tried to make him jealous), and nothing stuck (JMO). Yeah, of course she's not going to tell the "whole truth" on this one. My parents went 19yrs, and had 7 of us kids, not just 1. My mother, of course got the house in their divorce. I eventually went into the Marines, following our father's footsteps, as did two of my younger brothers later. It is what it is.
