Chomusuke Being Crazy

To save my place from getting shredded when they sharpen their claws, I made some HEAVY pine furniture, and they can sharpen their claws on that, and no where else....

They are happy, I am happy... their claws are sharp, and the mice get hunted down....

A meter of 90mm x 45mm untreated pine, glued, screwed or bolted to something else, well once trained it will keep them off audio speakers, furniture fabric, furnishings, etc... It helps if they can sharpen their claws, just before leaving the home at night or during the day etc.. So putting it up, near the door helps.

And it needs to be a meter high, because cats reach RIGHT UP, and pull down on their claws, to drive them into the timber... so a fully stretched out cat, laid vertically, is about 70 or 80 centimeters, from tips of the claws, to the back feet...

Katz'z are good....

Their tails are SO very very different too......
