China launches new remote sensing satellite group

China has launched a Long March-2D carrier rocket to place a remote sensing satellite group in space. The satellites were lifted from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. They will mainly be used to conduct science experiments, land resource surveys, yield estimation of agricultural products, as well as for disaster prevention.
