They didn't lose.. They used Vietnam to gain Thailand, Cambodia, Laos etc.. Which is a smart plan on itself.. Because it allowed Hong Kong or Taiwan to exist ^^

I can't imagine the paranoia they must have felt. Stuck on that boat and surrounded by ample cover for any ambushers. The waiting for the shooting would be intense.

Yeah man you never know when the VC's are going to attack.. Especially in these dense bushes.. It's just so fucked up.. That's why many veterans came back with severe PTSD cases
