In some sense, the carboard panels - these ones, are LOW thermal transmission rated insulation panels.....
They are not structural elements....
My first thought on seeing those houses that were "knocked down" - were that they had been condemned and pulled down by demolition crews.
The second thought that since the houses structural integrity rests mainly on the assembled building, not a roof on stilts with HUGE "sail" areas of insulating board, that an unexpected wind storm came through and blew the partial assembly over...
It does not mean the house is bad, or that the insulation panels are bad, it just means that an unfortunate strong wind came through the area - and the PARTIALLY built houses were demolished.
It also means that leaving things around that are vulnerable to wind gusts etc., should be tethered or folded up or have their brick walls put up immediately, especially on the prevailing wind side, first.
