There will be Win10 upgrades after oct 25, but you naturally can only get them if you PAY for them, about $30 a year I think it is?
Here's my advice to keep safe in October. First get every update you can up to the last minute, Also then ever update you win 10 mirror or backup image so it is the most up to date version if you need to ever reinstall it, you will need at least an 8Gb min stick to save your mirror on to. Then Change every password you have for Ebay and other progs you use like youe bank etc. thenany asshole trying to get you details cant because the only thing on record is all the old details they cant enter anyway because they cant use win 10 to find it. As there wont be any program updates they cant find a backdoor where their is no longer a door. I've researched this from many PC expert sources and like the Millennium Virus shit what a farce that was? it's not really gonna effect any general user for at leat 3 years and eventually you will have to go to Win 11, but bewqare, there is also ALREADY a Win 12 in the offing so I've heard, a debugged version of the earlier dogy Win 11 that was CRAP. So don't panic there is no Y2K doom and gloom on the horizon, just be sensible on the web, even unplug the Net cable when not using the WEB, as a precaution, probaly unfounded but what the heck be as safe as you can! Peace Bent's
Support for Windows 10 is ending but support for Windows Defender is to continue until 2028 at the moment. the uspport they are stopping is basically Debug shit that is still a hang over from sorting Win 7 out. as for the internet, if you visit your current site's say like Ebay and YT and stuff like that, you will be perfectly safe with Windows defender protection. If go to porn sites and deep web shit then that is up to you, it your risk as it would be now. Mo9st Anti virus providers will styill support win 10 as well because it doesn't require any windows specific stuff to run on your PC. Win 10 will be fine for general use at least for the next 3 or 4 years, I personally do NOT like win 11 got a PC with it on and it's bloody awful to use. so I don't use it.
I have an old PC that is still running 7. Everything else is running Linux. Hopefully I can completely avoid Windows 11.
I may just mirror my cell phone to TV.. and plug wireless mouse and keyboard into cell phone..
