There are HUGE blow torch bush fires, very hot days, very low humidity, HUGE amounts of leaf litter on the forest floor, and huge amounts of BIG trees, right up to the house and all around it... UNLESS it's all specially set up with flood level water sprays, it's basically unsurvivable - BUT a small steel tank, and a light weight sprinkler system wetting down the house all around - and the gutters full of water etc... and the yards clear of all flamable eucalyptus trees and shit... it makes it all very survivable. https://www.tcpb.ru/sites/default/files/water1.jpg

Yeah and I forgot to add high speed winds... or variable and gusting... This is a big factor on the water droplet size, direction and sprinkler types... While this system is not particularly brilliant, it's a lot better than nothing.... and depending upon the circumstances, it might be just fine and in others, a more effective system would be necessary.
