Steve was always the coolest. Love the classic cars in this movie, before they were classics. And also the chase scene, the VW Bug shows up around every corner, and I think I counted the Charger losing about 5 hub caps.
Trivia note: Steve did his own driving in that scene, and it was filmed in real speed. They were doing 100mph. Also, the stunt driver of the Charger is the same stunt driver in Vanishing Point as well as the driver of the Pontiac LeMans in The French Connection.
I remember my dad taking me to a movie double-feature that played current and then an old movie. I don't remember the first one - The old movie was Bullit and it SO AWESOME it's the only one I remember seeing that night.
