Sorry, but no one forced those Americans to go to Ukraine. If you stand on your feminine emotions, but don't do your research, and believe whatever the FNM tells you, that's on you. If an American goes as an independent contractor, you're on your own, if you get into a bind in a foreign land. State Dept usually invokes "plausible deniability".
