One of my subs is currently having a crisis and is attempting to drink it all away with booze. Friends don't let friends drink themselves into a drunken stupor, especially if it's killing them.
Also, this is yet another example as to why it is VERY IMPORTANT to have your own meaning and purpose for living. If you ask me, having a daughter is enough of a reason to live, especially if that little girl is counting on you!

I’m 18 and I never drank in my life because I was.....raised Mormon lol, But luckily I left that horrible stupid Mormon cult that abuses men.
BTW, I'm 50 and 11 months sober. I also walked out on the lying parasitic whore I'd been with for 20 years. 3 months single and fucking loving it. MGTOW - men going their own way and me going the only way.
Jesus Christ, when I got to the bit about how my drinking affected my children, I was crying like a little girl. Fuck. It's only because my youngest said to me when I'd been sober for 6 months - I'm so proud of you Daddy, the way you've changed - that I'm still here.
Dude, I drank like a fish for 30 years. STOP. You WILL lose the only person in the world you can trust. I have two daughters myself. I cannot tell you how much the photo of them on my desk has freed me of the wish for it all to be over. You don't need a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
