First played in "The Short Happy Life of Maurice Dribble," it was also heard during the course of "The Messenger," "The Short and Unhappy Romance of Ted Tingle" (March 13, 1974), "Casanova," "A Marriage of Convenience" (a.k.a. "Marrying for Money," a.k.a. "All for the Money," March 14, 1979; played in a considerably slower speed but still faster than the intended speed at which it was recorded) and "The Scarlet Pimple." Its string-quartet, 3/4 time waltz arrangement lent itself to the unofficial nomenclature "The Benny Hill Waltz" due to its repeated exposure on the show - and in the end, that was what this song actually became known as, when in the early 2000's Lewis recorded a new, extended version for the commercially-released CD Three Decades of TV Themes which was released on Campion Cameo 2018 in 2002. The original library music version was a mere 59 seconds (whittled down to 22 seconds when played at 78 RPM on the program); the newer version on this commercial release was 2:47.

@mrghoster: I have made a short video containing the "proper music", that sounded "about right" when slowed to 40%, and then kept the short bit of the speeded up music. I think I have cracked this.... I think it was from a 33 1/3 RPM vinyl record, played on a 78 RPM record player as (I am tired and a bit vague) 78 / 33.33 = 2.342 which off the top of my head is about 40% (ratios and speeds) so when you slow the audio down to 40% of the original speed, it will SOUND as if it's coming off a 33 and 1/3 LP (Long Play) record. @Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: It's amazing how much music there was in Benny's Show's? And it's not just random? Each peace kind of relates in many cases to the comedy subject of the clips? I've got lot's of benny hill do you want another clip or two? just ask, some of them are very MGTOW or Red Pill and their is plenty of women worth looking at as well! lol! By the Way A friend from way back had a Niece "Clare" who was a Hill's Angle just before he passed on. I think she is only in a couple of gag's,net her only the once at a family BBQ.

@mrghoster: Benny Hill is really good - Post as many as you like! I reckon - this is not a hard and fast rule, but really good comedy has huge amounts of detail..... Like in the Life of Brian - if you watch for a minute or two before the Lisping Roman guy goes out onto the podium to free a criminal, just watch the faces that John Cleese pulls, in order to save the situation... and then when Biggus Dickus went to seize the scroll containing all the criminals names on it - watch him work his magic in the back ground.... People are SO amazing... and at times your not really watching a movie, your watching a series of parallel events... some are very prominent, and others, are in detail or conceptual.... If it is a really GOOD movie, I will watch them 40, 50, 60 times etc., but I will be noticing MORE and MORE and MORE details... Like that Star Wars movie with the girl in it, called Rae? and she went to the planet with the HUGE waves crashing over the OLD Battle Star (fake moon thing) in the ocean. Simple movies are good too, but like the life of brian - I don't know how many times I have seen it over the years, butr tonight was the time I saw John Cleese (Centurion) pulling these horrified "Oh NO!" faces....

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: I've just posted St John Thomases Hospital by Benny Hill. Bearing in mind since covid Health services have declined so why not laugh at it? i like those old Ealing comedy films they can tell us a lot about past society as they represented the ill's of that current day with laughter, same goes for carry On as well?

@mrghoster: I am trying to fake being cheerful about anything at the moment, it;s midnight, REALLY cold outside and I have a million things to do... and I want to go to bed. I'd love to watch a lot of videos and edit and creat a lot of videos etc.... The blinkers of my OLD toyota - HAD shit thin easy to break mounts and some time in the past they broke off the mounts in both blinkers... and used a screw through the cases into the plastic car frontage that surrounds the radiator - used a HOT small soddering iron to cut some zip tie sized slots in the plastic and AFTER cleaning and protecting against further corrosion and installing LED lights, which should last forever, I am refasting the blinker cases back on with stron zip ties, instead of tiny screws.
