We live in a time of hidden despair because so much of it takes place out of sight and earshot. The average person, whilst nominally having more than ever, has, in another sense very little. Most people are disconnected and perhaps more importantly, there is no longer a blueprint for fulfillment nor are there rolemodels and people worth looking up to...and what fills the void is nothing good.
