Antabuse (disulfiram) is by far the quickest, easiest, cheapest and most effective route to long-term abstinence from alcohol. It was licensed by the American Food & Drug Administration (FDA) for Alcohol Use Disorder in 1951 – 75 years ago.
The book "ANTABUSE: The one-step program for alcohol abstinence" was co-written by Mike Buchanan (a British former political party leader and problem drinker) and Paul Elam (an American substance abuse counsellor for 30 years) and published in February 2026. Paperback and Kindle editions are available to order from Amazon, and the ebook can be read at no cost by subscribers to Kindle Unlimited. The book's Table of Contents:
