Atomic bombs didn't end WWII for Japan – Soviet invasion did

The myth that air power alone wins wars is wrong. Japan didn't surrender just because of the atomic bombs — the Soviet invasion of Manchuria in 1945 was decisive. The US made the same mistake again in Vietnam with Operation Rolling Thunder. Bombs destroy, but they rarely break political will.
