A new study has found that nearly 20% of male cattle (steers) in a large commercial study are lactating, a phenomenon attributed to several potential factors in the industrial food system. Researchers hypothesize the cause could be the extreme fat content on the animals, causing the fat itself to become an estrogen-creating organ.
