For the first time in 50 years, Congress has reopened hearings on MKUltra — the notorious CIA mind-control program linked to experiments on American citizens and foreign nationals.

RT producer Ignat Shipitsa, who wrote a book on MKUltra and is preparing its English release, says the hearings were deeply unsettling. According to him, the 90-minute session offered almost nothing new, failed to answer whether MKUltra still influences events in America today, and left the full scale of the CIA’s actions hidden.
