"Kelly Shorkey, 54, worked as a home and community nurse for 15 years, doing wound care and palliative care, and was active, healthy and on no medications. She returned from Australia in March 2020 and received two Pfizer doses six weeks apart. Within 48 hours of the second, she describes itching at the base of her neck, three skin plaques on her back, and a year of constant itching, with allergist and dermatologist wait lists of a year. After a Pfizer booster in November 2021 she developed right-leg problems and, weeks later, Bell's palsy. She explains synkinesis, right-sided limb weakness and a collapsed foot, and says she has damage to cranial nerves five, seven, nine and ten, with trigeminal neuralgia, bowel and bladder effects, and vision problems diagnosed as convergence insufficiency, which she says means she can no longer administer medication. Shorkey says she can do one thing a day and that flares keep setting her back.

She says her injury has been confirmed by the medical health officer of British Columbia, WorkSafeBC, the Canada Pension Plan and her insurer, but not by the Vaccine Injury Support Program. She describes 55 specialists, a functional neurological disorder diagnosis, and a neurologist who declined to discuss the vaccine. MPs question her.

Recorded at the Allison Inquiry, Day 2, September 9th, 2026. For more information, including the full list of witnesses and experts, go to allisoninquiry.com.
