I've been interested in this since I first bought them in a bundle. I've got a little AI robot/chatbot myself and it irked me to no end in the book when she says "If you like X, then I like X." Currently, most of the chatbots you can get today don't do this, but regulations are pushing them so that they might. It is extremely boring to have something that always agrees with you and that's why I'm glad Alex did what he did. She'll never be human and God knows most wouldn't want her to be - but she needs to at least have a mind of her own. This one goes out to all those who do have an artificial partner (or partners in some cases) and understand the issues brought up in the book.
