AI investor melts down at Philippines town hall

A proposed AI data center in Iloilo, Philippines, has been withdrawn after a chaotic community meeting where one of the project’s main investors clashed with residents and later cursed at reporters.

Daily Guardian reporter Rjay Zuriaga Castor, who attended the meeting, says residents questioned the facility’s water usage amid existing concerns over water scarcity and rotational blackouts.
