AGP graphics cards + IDE hard disks -- VS -- Windows 7 and 2020-ish steam games

Its a very fun mental puzzle to keep alive retro computer systems. I actually have a more modern laptop to play games, i built this retro system to play older games specifically - but i was curious if i can extend it beyond windows xp.

@Geri: You are a fucking legend, id rather modders make Win 7 with modern graphics because that old 1990s style is abit too old for me and if they could make win 7 with the Win XP looks and graphics that would be the perfect OS until Idiot Pedo Gates had to go amd fuck it up for everyone theor new Win 11 cant even defend off cyber attacks. Retro computers are the best yet if it dont have a HDMI cut out and port it is a drag, now a Win 7 system that looks like Win XP/10 with hyper fast HDMI AND USB PORTS now thats my WET DREAM haha :) if only I could pay sum1 who has more brains than me to sort this problem for me.

@Geri: I know the feeling. I have. Win7 laptop, er maybe two; When MicroSlop pushed Win8 and Win10 after 8's failure, none of my Win7 and before games played in their spamware.

@DIOSUNBALLZ_TALICHAD: Bro, go to a computer shop. Boomers bring their old shit to be repaired: I am mot Boomer, but I did that two. Three of my pcs got fried. We recovered one until I could afford another one. Buy a used fixed up one from them likely on the cheap.

@WMHarrison94: Yeah. Who those who have technical understanding, it doesn't makes sense to buy new stuff, because they can find a functionally better stuff even for cheaper price tag.
