Activists spray yellow paint on Champs-Elysees, marking five years of Yellow Vests

Environmental activists commemorated the fifth anniversary of the Yellow Vests movement, by spraying paint on the iconic Champs-Elysees avenue in Paris. As armed police rushed to the scene, some of the demonstrators were detained and taken away in vans. The act was organized by the ‘Derniere Renovation’ (Last Renovation) collective, who reportedly issued a statement later, claiming responsibility.
