And I thought guys buying oversized tires for their truck was ridiculous.....Damn.

@GenerationLESS: Well that makes sense for off-road. What doesn't make it making getting those huge rims with small profile tires. Then acting shocked when they constantly get flat tires simply driving around town with potholes. Where I live it snows so it was nice when I had a 4x4 truck with 33 inch tires. Remember men are practical. Especially rural folks. City folks are the ridiculous ones. They aren't even fixing the roads anymore so having a 4x4 with big tires is good.

@Toki: I was a transmission mechanic for a couple years in Phx. AZ in the mid 1980's. The cleanest underside of the vehicles that came in were 4X4 trucks. The only time they saw off road was when they accidently ran over their mother's flower bed while backing out the driveway.

@GenerationLESS: I see what you're saying but I live in a rural farmland state. Soccer moms with big SUVs are silly. I'm guessing there's some good off-roading in AZ rural areas though? If you were a mechanic I hope you know what I'm talking about with the low profile show tires. Those are just stupid. They are meant for car shows only but I'd rather more tire than rim in all cases.
