She didn't pay attention to the GAP on the left side, and the lack of any support, be it in line with the plate, or underneat the plate, going from side to side....

Beg to differ. She did check the previous plate. I think she was more focused (and hurried) on reaching the other side from the single bar area, and expected the other side to be safe by default. Not so. But let's not make a thing out of it; it is just a person learning the hard way to be cautious, nothing more. Could've been a dude for all the same.

The bad ones used to be where the guy fell off, or out of the roof, and landed on the bearers and joists, that supported the flooring and floorboards - prior to the floors being laid.... Very bad landings..
