it reminds me of the movie cherry 2,000 its based in the future but also run down and broken as if society has reverted back to the setting of the 1700s level of living, but we still have somewhat advanced technology, it's just people can't afford to live in the cities anymore.
the man in the film who lost his sexbot was considered rich and he could afford to live in the city, but he was willing to get his sexbot fixed and journey and risk his life for parts for an old sexbot that no longer was in production as it seems in the show that company died for some reason? "it's never explained in the movie" we can always make our assumptions of how or why that was the case, but civilization was still going on so it wasn't a complete broken world or anything, it was just some of society was living in the badlands in the middle of nowhere where the other side of society was living in the big cities.
Cyberpunk 2077 also has a society like this.
bunch of neo-hippies...
Interesting video... I was watching some tiny homes and offgrid living [usually with farming and animal husbandry] videos...too.
Reminds me of the climbers party-- you see Vertical fuck... something. Er Batman's Robin O'Donnell plays him, that guy who runs the team in NCIS Miami I think? The one with LL CoolJ? LA maybe... I know New Orleans has Scott Bakula isn't it? The time traveler guy in Quantum Leap or the Captain in Enterprise.
