35 Somali pirates escorted to Mumbai

Following the recapture of the Bulgarian-owned MV Ruen, which was hijacked three months ago, 35 Somali pirates have been detained and transported to Mumbai for trial. The pirates now could face severe penalties, including capital punishment, under India’s anti-piracy laws.
