Guy I do some custom contract work for dealing with rather specialized vehicles did a private invite gathering. So while I was there, I done did grab the cinema camera and went about my way shooting some footage.

I used to like to watch the very rare on TV full on truck racing......
BUT - because the trucks weigh 13 tons, and are actually wayyyyyyyy faster around the tracks, than the cars - they are in essence like giant Go-Carts, with all the weight down low and wide long wheel bases.....
BUT all the crash absorbing barriers around the tracks are designed to stop sedan cars and motorcycles.. which weigh fuck all...
But the trucks go straight through them or over them - and into the crowds....
SOOOOOOO they put speed limiters on the trucks....
And the racing became - well safer, which is GOOD and SANE - and I respect that...
But in regards to the RACING of big, very fast, very powerful trucks, going absolutely flat out...
It really lost it's excitement - which used to make the unrestricted racing so "Ahhhhhhhhhh Wahhhhhhhhh - FUCK!" as the tyres screeched around all the corners and the rear wheels spun - and they slid around under full power....
The race organisers, should have left it as is, and moved the audiences to the areas that the trucks are highly unlikely to go ploughing through....
That would have been a better idea....
And then gradually fortified all the crash barriers with bigger and deeper mounds of dirt over time.....
