Ben's husband is a doctor though. The ways he talks about it makes him sound like a woman being all Proud of her husband who makes more money than most people. Being a doctor in today's world is not a virtuous status symbol however. It simply makes them seem like a whore for corporate health services and Pharma drug dealing. If you simply look at at a collection of modern Americans you can clearly see they are failing as doctors. Most people are fat and balding and start wheezing when they get up to walk to the fridge.
