Not always.. You can meet really nice people out there.. I met lots of people from many nationalities ! Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese, Americans, Europeans, French, Germans, Russians etc we had a great time.. We hanged arround in Bangkok and Pattaya.. Getting drunk, Go to Gogo bars.. Nightclubs etc.. It all depends on what you wanna do out there.. But yup you gotta be carefull.. Lots of liars there.. So be always on your guard, don't fall for stupid shit.. At the end of the day you gotta filter whats good and bad

Indians first of all.. French, French-Arabs (Algeria, Morroco, etc) Russians (some of them), British (the goons most of the time).. It depends on your behavior.. Thai judge people on their actions and on how someone respects or behaves.. They are not Racist for the most.. They will welcome you, no problems for that.. But they like to speak behind the back in Thai and sometimes scam you on prices.. I do understad some Thai so I heard them talk sometimes behind my back not knowing that I understood some of it.. Americans and French were like worst ones when it come to speak behind the back of someone.. Depends on which country in Europe you met that local, can't say why.. But European girls are odd.. I just abandonned the idea of even trying to hit on them or even talk to them.. I just don't like them.. Not my type.. I have to work with some of them.. And at the end of the day I'm exhausted by all the stupid shit they say all day long.. I just cannot like them anymore.. it's over.. Some can be really nice but at the end of the day it's you and your luck in Europe.. Asian girls rock differently.. In South East Asia same rule applies but you'll have way more options and women there when they really like you they'll hit on you.. In Thailand the girls are the ones doing the first step.. It happened to me and on the moment I couldn't figure out why and how that was possible.. Don't waste your money in Europe, it's not worth it anymore.. Too expensive.. Too much low vibration people here.. Small minded / small thinking people.. Book yourself a flight to Thailand.. It will blow your mind and not only that.. It will change your life, your perception on so many levels..

Thanks for the advice #Doggk. Where to start in Siam/Thailand. Is there any difference between Pattaya & Bangkok residents, and the way they see tourist's? Or is it as you say, the way you treat them is the key.

@magot: Thais are used to see tourists for decades.. So don't worry there's no big difference.. In the north near Burma, and Laos people tend to be more cold than in the south.. It depends on the individuals you'll meet.. Pattaya is one of the best !! I really like the vibe you got there.. Bangkok it depends where you go and its a big big city so people in cities are less sympathic than others.. But don't worry you'll meet good people there too.. I met a girl there and till this day we speak a lot.. She speaks mostly Thai and has a poor english.. But translators exist + Best girls you'll meet there are the ones who speak little to no english.. I planned to go back as soon as possible and I decided to spent most of my time there with her.. Most people all over the country are really kind and helpful.. You'll encounter scammers, you'll get scammed in taxis etc.. That's part of the trip.. But you won't regret it.. Compared to prices in Europe.. What they call scam there is like 3 times less expensive than in Europe.. So I didn't care if someone took 2-3 euros in a scam.. It doesn't really matter.. My first trip I did, Bangkok 1 week Pattaya 2 weeks and a half and 1 week in Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai.. It's up to you.. If you like to party, drink, red light districts, gogos, shooting ranges, etc.. Go to Pattaya.. If you like the big cities, with a bit of everything, Rooftop restaurant, bars, etc.. Go to Bangkok.. If you like more traditional stuff and history.. Go to Chiang Mai.. If you like tropical Islands, beautiful landscapes and tourists hahaha go to Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Panghan.. First time you must go to BANGKOK.. That's the best way to start.. Then it's up to you.. But I prefer to warn you that if you go to Pattaya after that and decide to go to Chiang Mai for example you might get bored because of less dopamine hits than you'll have in Pattaya.. Many things close like at midnight in Chiang Mai.. In Pattaya your can party and eat till the morning if you know where to hangout.. If you like the real real Thailand.. Go to Isaan.. Khon Kaen, Udon Thani, Udon Ratchatani etc.. North eastern part of Thailand.. That's basically from where many girl who work in Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya come from.. It really depends on what you really wanna do.. I was there during christmas and new years eve and it was a nice experience.. I didn't wanna go back home but had too.. And I had to hold my tears back for 14hours straight.. The moment I closed the door of my appartment I started crying.. It's an eye opener.. It's a place where Men should go before deciding to marry western femons..

It reminded me of the Russian guy I saved in bar a few meters from the entry of Walking street / Pattaya.. I heard so many stories these last days about farangs getting beaten up by security guys etc.. Police in Pattaya decided to train and teach them the right way to deal / communicate with farangs for Songkran.. let's see what it will be ^^

@Doggk: It does take a Thai sometime to get angry but when they do look out. Mama-sans are usually ex bar girls and see it all and hard as nails and its all about profit, they even drugs the bars girls to give them more energy all for profit

@SoloMan Zone: I understand Mama Sans.. And most of the time I hanged around the bars, I prefered to talk to Mamasan than the girls.. Their experience in their lifetime is priceless.. I learned so much with some of them.. They know about so much subjects hahahaha.. I should barfine the Mamasan that's a real Thailand 3.0 Challenge ^^

@Doggk: Mama Sans are damaged goods and have had more farang than you've had hot dinners and thats not counting the Thai men. My advice you can trust a bar girl to a point but never trust a Mama San

interesting, i have never known a place to serve anything until you pay (as far as bars go), only get served first in restaurants... why would any bar owner allow someone to run a tab at all is beyond me, pay for your alcohol first either by the glass or by the bottle...

@sbseed: It's Thailand man.. Sabai sabai mentality.. That's why people from all around the world go there.. Going to a bar in the west is boring + expensive.. I hate it, I used to go out a lot when I was a teen but now.. It's over.. Music is shit most of the time.. Everything is expensive and all about money and showing status.. Western women, pfffff... you already know, .. I just don't enjoy it anymore.. Id rather buy a beer and drink home.. But in Thailand.. I like going to bars, because there's an entire other aspect of going out, meeting people, meeting girls.. Nobody cares about your Rolex, or golden neckless.. only the thieves or ladyboys hahaha.. You just feel that you had a great time after a night out.. But in the west.. I feel like shit and ripped off after a night in bars..
