Clamp a square of 30 cm x 30 cm to a piece of steel plate - say 10mm thick, with a 75 mm gap between them, and stand them upright... and get a bicycle with an odometer or use your phones GPS... and walk or ride say 1.5 Km away from the target, and fire at the target, and then come in closer at increments of 250 meters, and fire ONE shot each time, until you hear the ring of the bullet hitting steel, AFTER going though the wood, and then dial it in, by going back out in steps of 100 meters, until the DING noise stops... and then the previous distance is your more or less guaranteed effective range. It's pretty easy to do, so why are you leaning on other people to get them to do your own thinking for you? It's YOUR gun, you figure it out.
