Pizza Hut was a big thing in Australia ~50 years ago...

Now granted that I am in the middle of nowhere and I don't have a TV, but the only ONE regional city Pizza Hut, kind of was fizzling out 20 years ago - the cheap (low quality low cost) food that was just garbage, and way over priced, was out competed by so much really good local corner store competition......

It's newish on the market - and people are so tired of eating the other local stuff... so they will boon for a while, until other better pizza places open up....

@Alpha Male Lifestyle: Yeah Domino's been there about twice... "Oh Super Cheap large pizzas 2 for $10 (or what ever) !" - the small one is a saucer sized, the medium is a toast plate size and the large family size is a small dinner plate, and sure the pizzas are cheap - that is only for the base and some tomato paste and a little cheese, and then it's $2 for this, and 5 x $2 for that - just lots of scummy nickle and diming people to death for a bullshit pizza, that is a crap sales gimmick to get them in the door for a shit pizza - where the $10 for 2, works out to be $25 each - for shit and over priced pizza, when I could have gone to a great pizza shop that has 2 medium pizzas for $25, and it's a decent meat lovers, chicken, neopolitana, ham - pineapple and cheese, etc., etc., from a set menu in the first place - and they are pretty fair to reasonable for the price.....

@Alpha Male Lifestyle: I went to Domino's pizza perhaps twice - around 15 years ago.... They are just scummy - and they use manipulative marketing practices to drive their prices right up - for what is still an expensive and cheap scummy pizza.... Have you ever made pizza using a dampened flat bread base, tomato, cheese and all the toppings you want... Pretty easy and rather good... I like the Lebanese flat bread, or the Pita bread for the base... People get sucked into the "OH you can only use Pizza Base to make pizzas!" when making the dough up is easy and also plain flat bread is fine on the smaller pizzas... I suppose you could glue two layers of flat bread together with flour, egg and water...

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: Domino's good UK side, I prefer it to Pizza hut here especially on the toppings thicker.

@silverkinguk27: I only went to Domino's maybe twice, around 20 years ago... Got sucked into the "Hey two pizzas for $12" deal... at least to get in the door... I think the price was that back then.. and it was just base, tomato and a sprinkle of cheese... and then the nickle and diming started to ramp the cost right up.... These were not fully formed pizzas with loads of topping on them... BUT it's been a long time and they may have had to change their scummy gouging practices to stay in business.
