My thesis is that the act of the family man is essentially “Paying for Friends” under the guise of Social altruism and assumed mutual “love” the man is paying for companionship of people that would otherwise not exist in the first place. The kids didn’t chose to exist and his wife stays for provision, protection, and companionship which depreciates over time while he has to take his daily dose of blue pills to sustain the family “friends”. Ultimately representing a man paying for friends (Wife and kids) via keeping an existential crisis away. Number one, marriage being a romantic mating strategy for man who is more or less a beta male that can’t pull tournament style sex. Number two the family unit serves as fabricated attempt for objective existential purpose of the subjective INDIVIDUAL to provide a internal and external narrative of virtue and responsibility to counter the unpleasant feeling of a chaotic default void of being born by accident because “human kind cannot bear too much truth” according to TS Elliot.
