They are talking to you like a child. I prefer to be addressed as Sir or Mr. ... It is also important to dress and act in such a way that commands respect. Make sure whatever you are wearing is clean, in good repair, and fits properly. imo.

Yes you are right, it is strange to call your Uber delivery guy, honey or sweety. Perhaps the act of a man bringing food to a woman triggers some affection response in her lizard brain. You are also right about the arrogance/chip on the shoulder level now, it is off the charts. Smart phones have turned a lot of people into dopamine hit chasers. Smart is dumb.
