Wow what a surprise to see this picture, I used to play here with my mates as a kid at Hope Gap at the Cuckmere Haven, mind you the old Coast Guard cottages were derelict way back then! It did used to be a suicide spot many years ago because the cliff falls to Rock Pools and stuff. t

@mrghoster: Did you ever seriously use the cliff for writing chalk, or did you ever dig into it with little picks and mattocks etc., and did you gather up the flints and make sparking tools or knap them so you could perform brain surgery on each other... ?
