I think the "UBI" narrative, to a large extent, is anxiety over the floor supporting hypergamy.
There are women, many of them black, making videos of themselves entertaining accepting a UBI of $10,000/month each, "because AI". LoL.
The perceived productivity of "AI" has become the standard their looks match has to beat to be good enough for them.
