The best thing to SLIDE on is a good quality Leather jacket or one piece. All my Leather jackets are double skinned in the arms and shoulder's I wear very heavy denim Jean's often when the weather is bad over a pair of jogger pant's. Deni9m can slide as well as leather. I mean if some CUNT on their mobile pulls out in front of you, unless you are paying attention and can swerve round them no amount of armor other than possibly your helmet is gonna protect you 100%, I wore a Helmet long befor eit became legal in the UK, my DAD made me. I wore Seatbelts years before it was law, because my DAD made me.

I watch these especially American bike crash video's and am amazed how badly many of them ride in the first place. Now as far as I know traditionally American Bicycles have oine brake and that is a REAR brake fitted to the RIGHT side of the bar's, so I've noticed that many many of the spills (not really crashed) actually happen because American's go for the right side Brake (Front brake) be cause they were used to the rear brake on a bicycle being on the right? Another useful skill to learn is the counter intuitive "Counter steer". Basically if you enter a corner to fast DON't hit the brakes but actually lightly push the bar's in the same direction of the over cooked turn. so if you turn right and not enough as the corner runs out, push the bar with your left hand "Right", the bike automatically will fight you to go in the opposite direct, this gives you a really good chance of making the corner ok. So remember it's called "Counter Steering and if you learn it you may not need all that armor, alternatively, stop being a DICK and learn to ride and slow down! lol!

Reminds me, Must catch up with Ryan, been a while. As for all this protection crap. I've always the one or two times I have dropped a bike managed to step off and do a parachute roll. Never cracked a bone. I think learning to ride properly is more important than Armor for a NOVis dick head who feels he is Evel Knievel befoire he has even put the ignition key in. I've ridden since 1972 and had the odd "Spill" this is when youi have a bike slide from under you usually at a very low speed because that is when spill's usually happen. I have full no claims insurance and save a fortune every year in premium's. Awareness is more important than dressing like a samurai Ninja fighter. I do have all the clobber and maybe on a longer journey wear my armored MC jacket once3 in a while.

I reckon the armour is GOOD for preventing damage to the joint cell.... when going over rocks and rough surfaces.... Said as one who had a hole in his elbow, which he used to pack the bone with a small level teaspoon of salt and alcohol every day, until it healed over... This guy has a legit point abou the lack of adequate shock absorbtion in the armor - but the armour is GOOD and it protects the joint a lot more than not having it....
