Baldwin is ultimately responsible... his finger was on the trigger when it discharged, otherwise the single action revolver would not have fired. According to the FBA the revolver did not fail so it was not an accidental discharge, it was a Negligent Discharge. I've owned over a half dozen Single Action Army revolvers over the last 45 years and they all work the same. All he had to do was obey the 4 basic rules of firearm safety and no one would have been shot.
The armorer is at fault for handing off the revolver unsafely (to a narcissistic nitwit) and for stating it was "cold" when it was loaded with live rounds. The armorer is responsible for allowing live rounds on the set. She is also responsible, but not to the degree Alec Baldwin is, for the death.

3. Never Let The Muzzle Sweep Anything You're Not Willing To Destroy. Even if the gun is unloaded, it is not an excuse to violate Rule 1.
4. Be Sure Of Your Target And What Is Near, In Line With and Behind Your Target. Make sure you have identified the target as valid, and there is no one or anything in front or behind the target that you're not willing to destroy.
Handing Off a Firearm to Another 1. Revolvers - Never hand off a revolver with a closed action. Leave the empty cylinder open for double action revolvers and the loading gate open on single actions revolvers.
2. Semiautomatic Pistols - Remove the magazine and lock the slide back on semi automatic firearms, making sure there is no round in the chamber or anything in the magazine well. Use your eyes and finger to inspect the chamber for any round.
Anyone and everyone that handles a firearm is responsible for inspecting it to make sure it's unloaded, even if that person just saw someone inspect it.
We're responsible for every round that is fired from a gun, whether from a handgun, rifle or shotgun. (Not so sure about LEOs though ¯\_(ºلº)_/¯ )
I seem to remember aq similar case many years ago with the Brandon Lee shooting thing on a film set, anyone remember that? Has Baldwin been mouthing of against the Elite or something and they have done what they usually do , Set someone up? Oh! hang on my tin foil hat just slipped off! lol!
There's been more complete coverage outside the Main Stream Media (MSM). Cast and crew were firing the weapons when not using them for shooting. The armorer is definitely negligent in many ways. Alec is still at fault for no less than negligent homicide.

Is he a hunter outside of acting, does he even know about guns, the Armorer is to make the gun safe before it gets to the actors hands, he was reckless with it , but if the Armorer (femon) did her job then things would have been different, even if he pointed the gun at someone and pulled the trigger

Forgive me for my lack of understanding. All I want to ask is; Why's live round even there in the filming location?
I don't know who this is but I do know that my dad told me that you treat a gun as always loaded.
