Alabama is now the first US state to execute a death row prisoner with nitrogen gas, after Kenneth Eugene Smith became the first inmate to be put to death using this supposedly painless method.

The UN human rights office, however, claims the method could cause severe pain and suffering.

Anyone care to bet as to whether or not this clown whining about this execution being "unconstitutional", is a Democrat?

0:40. Based judge. Apparently the execution worked.

Officials say it worked, witnesses said "not really". The guy died and everything, so that's good, but they said it was quite nasty, many complications. What happened to good ol' bullets 'n' rope? No problems. Hundreds of years.

@Drums_McBashington: Depending on the people convicted (as well the charges), I'd have no issue being on a military firing squad that conducts executions on traitors, especially politicians.

@Drums_McBashington: Even the guillotine seemed to work every time it was tried. Definitely save on bullets, which are better served for hunting, or self defense.
