Underwater earthquake is both fascinating and terrifying

What’s worse than being trapped in a magnitude 7.2 earthquake? Trapped in a magnitude 7.2 earthquake underwater. A TikTok video posted by RedJoy9999 shows a group of divers off the coast of Indonesia’s Maluku Islands caught in such an earthquake (or seaquake), and everyone online seems to be in agreement that it’s fascinating, amazing and terrifying all at the same time.

The two things that stick out are the sheer amount of ‘dust’ that it kicks up, and the second is just how much the divers physically move – if this were on land, no one would be able to stay upright unaided. Others are praising the divers for keeping calm, although to be fair, there’s not much they could do about it.
