Two-weeks of suspense: Türkiye braces for runoff after election drama

Incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan now has 49.5% of the votes with his main contender, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, at 44.9%. As neither have cleared the 50% threshold, a runoff is scheduled to be held on May 28th.
