Donald Trump has invoked communism at least 80 times in just two weeks, presenting it as a growing threat to the United States.

But with younger Americans increasingly unable to afford homes, burdened by debt and facing declining living standards, Trump’s warnings that communism means “everyone gets a free house” may not be as persuasive as intended.
