It's quite nice isn't it...... IF it was refined and modernised, to give very efficient combustion and a 5 or 6 speed gear box, not necesarily for outright speed but to idle the engine along at highway speeds... a better colapsable steering collumn so you don't spear yourself through the chest when you crash and a behind the head roll bar and a safety harness... and a few other improvements - like compressed air based fuel injection.... and valve and valve timing for very clean and efficient fuel use... tuned inlet and exhaust tracts... The suspension is OK... but some dampening for better road holding on rougher Australian roads, and possibly 10" of wheel travel with that..

Agreed, but it's what they had for the time, and it worked pretty damn well! A "modern" version would be something to see indeed, but there's something about those old machines, be them cobbled together, or factory original that just blows my mind!
