@03:28:30 Yep, my (single) mother gave me horrendous advice, in general, not just about women.
However, my GRANDmother on my dad's side, gave me some of the most based, real, legit advice I ever got in my life.... the problem was I wasn't ready at the time.
For instance;
........
"You must always be a gentleman toward ladies. Remember, to *ladies*, always be a gentleman."
........
but what my 10-11 year old mind didn't yet understand about what she was saying, was that she was also telling me;
........
"and if she's not a lady, don't bother. She doesn't deserve respect."
........
which is quite reasonable. Yes, I'm 100% positive that's what she meant. She had some pretty hardcore opinions about women that dressed/acted/seemed like sluts or just general trashy women. She also told me;
........
"To women; Never give all your love, all your money or all your trust."
........
which I was also unable to understand until many years later. Basically she was telling me women will stab you in the back and take everything you cherish if you give them an opening, any opening, because they will leverage said opening to extract what they want from you. She was right. My grandmother was from 'the greatest generation' I think, which is why her advice & general outlook were so wildly different than any of the other adults I interacted with when I was very young. Goes in line with what TFM is talking about.
