The pivot rally was obvious. 'AI' is just the cloak that people need to cover it with. If it wasn't AI, it would have been something else. Maybe the 'Ukrainian victory rally'.
The only reason it seems exceptional is because the pivot rally happened at the cyclical top for the post-covid range. If it had happened 2 months ago or 2 months from now, no one would have even noticed.
If you bought at the previous low (11kish?), congratulations. A solid bet that paid off big with some timing luck.
If you're loading up on tech stocks now at 14.5k, lol enjoy your bags retard.
I wouldn't short this rally quite yet though. The catalyst for the real pant-shitting drop will be persistent inflation numbers around 6+ months from now. This might be the top now or it might have a little room to run, but either way you're going to be sitting on a red short paying carry for at least 6 months.

I would be very careful about holding oil long term right now. The entire market is being held up by the Saudis, and if they decide to throw in the towel, the price will crash below $40 in a matter of weeks. Biden still has half of the original SPR to sell down, and there is zero reason to expect that he won't draw the whole thing right down to empty.
So far all the Saudis have gotten in return for their realignment is a face-saving exit from their Yemen debacle. In exchange they had to walk back their growing ties with Israel, give in to UAE demands on cut burdens by bullying some smaller OPEC members and shoulder the vast majority of the newest cuts. On top of that Russia is cheating on their cuts, which is effectively cheating on their agreement with the Saudis.
What I have been doing over the past year is buying on new lows, putting in a stop and then selling immediately on the 1st bounce. Easy money. I will keep doing it, but I am ready to close these trades at break even and move on each time.
With the SPR capping any major upside and the risk of the bottom falling out if the Saudis get pissed with their new arrangement, you really don't want to be loading up on bags to carry.
