@04:55:00 Ironically, that's the complete opposite of how it's done in Mexico where firearms are incredibly illegal. Up until a few years ago, if you had a gun on you or you had the disassembled parts of a 'long-gun' in your car during a search, it was an instant life-sentence. Also if there's one place you really don't want to go to prison, it's Mexico.
Anyway despite the ultra-hyper-extreme anti-gun laws, the vast majority of citizens of the republic have a firearm in their home for protection. If your home is searched by police over something and they find a gun, unless they're actively trying to screw you over they will generally overlook guns because they know everyone is going to have one for home defense. The law says you absolutely cannot own a gun or have one in your home but nobody cares about that law and rightly so.
--- NOTE: About 15 years ago.... I think it was president Zedillo & his crew, probably not Fox and definitely not Calderon, anyway there were a series of laws put into place where it suddenly became illegal to fire on an intruder that broke into your home with malicious intent if he was trying to flee. Even if he was armed and it was proven that he was ready & willing to kill anyone inside you would be arrested & charged with murder if you shot him as he tried to flee. It sparked a pretty big controversy at the time but ended up being irrelevant because people will still gun down intruders and those laws went absolutely nowhere.
Point being; Despite all the laws against firearms, the fact that a debate on a national scale about people using guns to kill intruders demonstrates how common having a gun at home is. It also proves that govt knows about it but doesn't really care. Greater point; This is the complete opposite of the U.S. and in some ways, is slightly better and in other ways vastly worse.

The same way that Japanese sounds 'cute' or 'funny' to people 'overseas', English sounds 'cool' to them. However, I highly doubt they'd tattoo themselves with any English. Tattoos are more associated with yakuzas & gyarus which most Japanese actively try to distance themselves from.

When some dipshit representative gets away with heinous acts but suddenly gets kidnapped along with his family..... it'll take a few days before their bodies are discovered and it is made clear that they were brutally tortured & executed one at a time in front of the others to inflict the maximum physical & emotional pain. GOOD. They think nothing of destroying the lives of the citizenry so when it's finally their turn I can only be thankful to the narcos that made it happen.
