Ya, I'm getting annoyed by soft on crime libertarians.
Beating criminals' asses with bamboo is one of the few justifiable purviews of government.
They use this "oh, so you want to give the left the ability to beat your ass with bamboo for hate speech?" argument. No, if the left tries to punish me for hate speech, it's already on regardless of the intended punishment.

Tertiary education needs to be burned to the ground, and rebuilt upon the ashes.
First step is obviously privatization. Nothing will change until government is out of education.
Second step is to separate job training and research tracks.
The vast, vast majority of people are there to get their 'I'm not a total retard ticket', and the tiny amount of incidental skill building that they get by accident in the process. You could reduce this process down to two years, and actually focus on providing people with real workplace skills.
Only the small minority of people that are tracked for research should actually be taking something like 'physics' or 'economics', and these spots should be going to the total nerds. Not everyone in this track will necessarily be getting a phd, but they should generally have the capacity to do so.
These two tracks should remain flexible with some bleed over to prepare people for top-end non-academic jobs, but most people have zero reason to ever take a specialized academic course. Having people do sophomoric regurgitations of dumbed down specialist academic topics for 3 to 5 years just to get a job shuffling papers is a shockingly inefficient system.

there are no great trades up right now.
you missed china, you missed precious metals, you missed oil. all of these have a ways to run, but the big initial leap off the lows are gone.
best bet is nat gas around $2 in a couple months if weather stays crazy warm. also eyeing full us equity capitulation, but that is many months away. maybe not even until 2024.
not a great time to get into the market.

likely the best part of the precious metals rally is already over. not a bad place to park money overall, but definitely late to the party at this point.
i was waiting to go all in on silver at $15, but it never quite got there, so missed the rally myself.
