Watched Bob Munden years ago, fast son of a gun. Pun intended. Loved how he would make those 200 yard shots on a steel tombstone plate with a 6 or 8" 44 mag then do it again with a 2" snub nose revolver. Hell, I can barely see anything at 100 yards :-)

@TelepathicRapist: This is why you cannot do it.

@TelepathicRapist: I had one question, "Has he ever shot himself in the leg?" - but then I looked at his standing position, with his holster leg pointed backwards, and below the knee, that is even further backwards, and his offside (left) leg standing out in front.... He doesn't shoot himself in the leg or the foot - So I guess he knows what he is doing.

@TelepathicRapist: People generally do things ONLY for a good reason. The very smartest ones think several steps ahead. I'd say that perhaps he may have shot himself in the leg, perhaps only a graze, or a few near misses.... It sort of goes with the process, and the practice and the speed that comes with the practice. So his posture is not "the standard gun slinging cowboy" posture... it's a technically precise and premeditated stance - and it's all done for a reason. Everything about this guy is about absolute precision, accuracy and speed. The design and location of the holster, the cleaning and lubrication of his gun, the lubricants used, the preparation of the rounds etc.... and his natual skills and these skills that become refined from his practice. Seeing him shoot off 2 rounds - that is so FAST.... Wow.

@TelepathicRapist: It's a whole class of competitive shooting. https://www.cowboyfastdraw.com/index.php/rules They don't use metal projectiles in cowboy fast draw shooting. Even with the wax bullets you can see the competitors use rigs with a deflector at the muzzle end of the holster, just in case they have an accident drawing or holstering. https://gunblast.com/images/Me....rnickle_FastDraw/MVC

@HairlessMonkey: My old man told me that you can make candle wax solid rounds for using in shot guns and they will go through a 3/4 " piece of ply quite easily... I of course, put it to the test.... AND there are videos online of special super long barrel gas guns that shoot ping pong balls through a vacum in the barrel and these things blow pumpkins to pieces.... and then there are the hyper velocity space guns that are used to test space armour against micrometeorites and tiny little objects - but the tiny little objects are going 5 Km a second... Orbital speeds... ----- https://www.cowboyfastdraw.com..../images/stories/pdf/ ------ https://www.youtube.com/result....s?search_query=nasa+ --------- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3iqE2GRHeU -----
