When I was about 11 years old, my next door neighbor told my mom she thought I was possessed by a demon. She wound up taking me to a Benny Hinn revival. It's like, the one good story I have to entertain people, but I'll just fast forward to the end: I wound up seeing just how incredibly stupid everyone I knew was and how few answers they had. But these people, these Christians, were the worst of all. They were fucking idiots to believe any of this stuff. Through my teenage years I was really hard on Christianity and turned into a hardline atheist. Later in life, in my 20s, I really softened up and didn't think it was so bad...just kind of silly really. And then there was even authors like Bernadette Roberts who, even being a Christian, tapped into a lot of the same insights as the Buddha, and I felt I could totally relate to Christians even if only a little.
But now that I'm about to also be in my 40s, I'm kind of coming back around to hostility toward Christianity. I've tried to engage them on Bernadette and they just call her a heretic. I point out that their beliefs need just some slight modification to be viable - just stop with the Jesus Cult and pagan anthropolatry and you'll have a legitimately respectable religion, but nope, that's heresy because Jesus was literally the one true God, God is three people rather than three hypostases even though those are different things, and BLAH. Just a bunch of nonsense.
And lately since conservatism is once again on the rise, now you have these retards like Andrew Wilson and Nick Fuentes preaching Christian Nationalism. Take away my rights in the name of the Lord.
Fuck these people. The Christianity of the contemplatives...of John of the Cross, Meister Eckhart, Bernadette Roberts, Pseudo-Dionysus, and perhaps even Gregory Palamas is interesting, but the common man's Christianity preached by the Pope down to the pulpit is for completely fucking retards and I'm tired of these people trying to impose their shit on everyone else. They were the Woke and the Karens of the 90s and early-00s, I remember when they were, and now they're just making a comeback now that their political affiliation is waxing.
Fuck Christians. You people suck.
